I’m originally from Washington D.C. but have lived up and down the California coast for over ten years. I have worked in the veterinary medical field for over seventeen years, and love animals of all kinds. I’m currently in my third year of tattooing. I studied illustration at the California College of Arts and Crafts with a focus on painting and drawing, but developed interests in sculpture and metalsmithing as well. Besides tattooing I also currently work in acrylics, oils and watercolors. My artwork has a tendency towards the dark and humorous and my tattoo interests lean towards the macabre as well. My many years of experience in the surgical field of veterinary medicine often shine through my art in the form of blood splatter and bone or anatomical reference. Being infinitely fascinated by insects I sometimes spend more than a few hours a week looking through field identification guides. My favorite style of tattooing is traditional American with a hint of Art Nouveau or Victorian embellishment, and I also have a particular fondness for elaborate stylized script. I look forward to discussing your tattoo ideas with you!
